Sneak Peak of Aegis Living Lake Union

Eastlake Board Members got a sneak peak of Aegis Senior Living Center on Lake Union. Aegis will have an open house for the public this Saturday, August 13, from 1 to 4. You can also schedule a tour via their website. The building has assisted living and memory care. Aegis will care for residents through the end of their life. The building is also one of the first fully green senior living centers and produces 105% of its own energy. The theme is based on the 1936 Olympic gold metal UW rowing champions, who practiced their rowing on both Lake Union and Lake Washington. An original Pocock racing shell hangs from the entry ceiling. The first new residents start moving in on Monday.
