Join local birder Dave Galvin (and Eastlake News avian columnist) for an evening of show-and-tell about our local birds. Dave will give a virtual presentation about birds in the neighborhood, and answer any and all of your questions on Wednesday, April 6, at 7 p.m. The zoom meeting invite for this presentation will be sent the day before, Tuesday, April 5. If you would like to join, please send a request to info@eastlakeseattle.org.
Then follow up with a neighborhood bird walk led by Dave on Saturday, April 9. Two options are available: 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Each will be casual and follow a short circle from the TOPS school and Rogers Playground down E. Roanoke St. to the lake, then back up hill via E. Louisa St. The walk will end at Eastlake Ave., where participants can take advantage of their favorite coffee spot.
Meet either at 9 or 11 in the middle of the green street of Franklin Ave. E in front of TOPS school. Dress for weather — we’re Northwesterners and we go outside regardless! Bring binoculars if you have them or can borrow them — birds are way more visible through optics.
Please let us know if you plan to the attend the presentation or either of the walks by emailing us at info@eastlakeseattle.org, so that we know how many to plan for.
