Shooting suspect taken into custody in King County Jail after Sunday evening shooting in Seattle that left one person injured
Seattle, Washington – A 57-year-old woman was shot at Hing Hay Park in Seattle and suffered serious injuries in a Sunday evening incident, the local police department reproted. Authorities said that a physical dispute among several individuals in the park led to the shooting.
The Seattle Police Department responded to emergency calls at approximately 10:17 p.m., with reports of gunfire at the location. Officers arrived at the scene at 423 Maynard Avenue South to find the woman with a gunshot wound to her abdomen. Before she was taken to Harborview Medical Center, Seattle police and fire department officers provided first aid at the scene. The victim, whose name has not been released, was reported to be in serious but stable condition, facing non-life-threatening injuries.

The gun used in the shooting has not yet been found. The case has been turned over to the Gun Violence Reduction Unit’s detectives, who are still looking at the motive behind the conflict and making sure everyone engaged bears responsibility.
