Community groups invited to apply for Seattle Parks funding to bring new recreation ideas to life
Seattle, Washington – Seattle Parks and Recreation is now accepting applications for a new round of community-focused grants. These grants will give people and local groups the chance to put their ideas for recreational programming into real programs around the city in 2026. The funding is aimed at projects that bring people together, encourage movement, and create inclusive spaces for play and connection.
There are three distinct ways to get money this year, each meant to help a different kind of community-led leisure. Through these programs, certain applicants may get up to $15,000 to help pay for planning, staffing, equipment, and outreach costs. The goal is to make it easier for creative, grassroots ideas to move from concept to action.
