Seahawks apparel store near downtown Seattle stadiums suffers heavy losses after suspects break through front door and flee unseen

Seattle, Washington – A sports merchandise store located near Seattle’s stadium district was hit by an early-morning burglary that resulted in the theft of tens of thousands of dollars in team gear, according to police.

According to Seattle PD, officers were called to the 1000 block of 1st Avenue South shortly after 4:00 a.m. following a report of a break-in at a retail shop selling Seattle Seahawks merchandise. When patrol officers arrived, employees told them the store had been forcibly entered and a large amount of inventory was missing.

Investigators reviewed security video from the business, which showed three suspects wearing masks approaching the front of the store before breaking through the main entrance. The footage captured all three individuals moving quickly inside, grabbing merchandise, and then exiting through the same front door they had forced open.

Police said the total value of the stolen items is estimated to exceed $50,000. In addition to the loss of merchandise, the store reported about $2,300 in property damage linked to the forced entry, including damage to the front door.

The burglary happened while the surrounding area was largely quiet, and the suspects were gone before officers reached the scene. No arrests were made, and police did not immediately release descriptions beyond what was seen on the surveillance video.

The store’s location near Lumen Field places it in a high-traffic area on game days and during major events, making it a popular stop for fans looking to purchase team apparel. Police noted that the timing of the break-in, just before dawn, likely allowed the suspects to avoid detection.

Detectives are continuing to review available evidence, including surveillance footage from nearby businesses, to identify the individuals involved. Officers are also working to determine whether the suspects used a vehicle to leave the area or fled on foot.
